Book 2: Legend of the Jade Dragon (Chitz ‘n China series book 2)

Alright, time to start book 2! This book is a digital book that I got from Amazon. I stumbled onto this author one day in the library and feel in love with the Chitz ‘n China series. Unfortunately the library didn’t have the rest of the books of this series so I decided to wait to buy it because I had a million other books waiting to be read. Thankfully this reading challenge gave me the perfect chance to buy the book.

If you read the Amazon synopsis you can see that there is a bit of magic involved in the story. What can I say, I am a little bit of a sucker for a story that has a little magic in it, but the magic in this series is not at all like the magic you would find in Harry Potter.  Emerald is the main character in the book and she is not this perfect character, in fact she has a few flaws and that is what I really enjoy. Hopefully book 2 doesn’t change her too much. I am super excited to start reading this one!

Jade dragonSynopsis from Amazon: Tarot cards seldom lie. So when they predict chaos and bad luck for her last client of the day, Emerald gets more than a little worried. He leaves behind a charming jade statue of a dragon–but promptly dies in a hit-and-run accident outside of her shop. When other terrible things begin to plague Em and her family, the only explanation is the jade dragon. To thwart its evil spell, she’ll have to follow a trail of heartache all the way back to China’s Ming Dynasty–and its ancient–and sometimes harsh–mysteries.
