Once again, a short story collection has given me middle of the row feelings. I have yet to find a short story collection that just blows me away. You will get a few fantastic stories and then you will get others that just miss the mark. This collection has some stories that seriously just made me cringe.
Do not let me dissuade you from listening to this short story collection. Nick Offerman does an amazing job hosting the audiobook and each of the actors who read a story did a great job. I mean come on, Sir Patrick Stewart even read one! That was not the problem, the problem was that some stories were just horrible. I mean seriously, there was a story told from the perspective of acid reflux. It was the worst one in my opinion. Then you had other stories that were laugh out loud funny such as the girl who was cursed as a frog.
Overall, if you enjoy short stories this audiobook might be right up your alley. The thing is you have to suffer through a few bad stories in order to find some of the funny ones.
