New Year, New Me?

The beginning of the year is when a lot of people make resolutions to be better and and makes changes…. Only 9% of people actually succeed in achieving their goal. That is part of the reason that I just don’t do the whole resolution thing. I don’t like setting myself up for failure… but I think I found a resolution that I might try this year. For me it is very difficult to DNF (did not finish a book). I just feel so guilty so I will force myself to finish the book, and it ends up taking much longer to do so. In fact, sometimes after reading a bad book I wouldn’t pick up another one for a while. This totally messed me up in 2022!

To read, or not to read. That is the question.

You may have noticed that my posts have been few and far between each other but that has been because I have just been hitting this block. I usually use reading as my way to disconnect but my brain is so fried that it just looks at a book and just says nope! It isn’t that I don’t have amazing books to read, I do! I have a fabulous to be read pile just sitting there waiting to be added to my happy little nest of read books, but I just can’t bring myself to open one.
