September 2020 Wrap Up

I think it would be fun to start doing a wrap and just talk about the things I read in September along with some highlights of the month. I will admit that this month I fell behind pretty hard in my reading. My real job ended up taking up a lot of my time so unfortunately I did not have a lot of time to read. But on the bright side I was finally able to buy my domain name, which is really exciting. And I got a new logo thanks to my brother and his wonderful talent (new logo coming in October!) Oh and I have totally changed up how I do my Instagram posts! Giving everything a fresh new look! If you haven’t followed my Instagram please do! I post a lot of fun stuff there and sometimes have reviews exclusively for my Instagram followers πŸ™‚

The Devil’s Only Friend by Dan Wells

I will admit that sometimes I just pick a book without paying attention if it is part of a series or not. This was one of those times, but thankfully I didn’t need to have read the other books for this one to make sense. What can I say? How could I not read a book whose synopsis says: “John Wayne Cleaver hunts demons: they’ve killed his neighbors, his family, and the girl he loves, but in the end he’s always won. Now he works for a secret government kill team, using his gift to hunt and kill as many monsters as he can. . . . . . but the monsters have noticed” . I mean, how could I resist? Seriously?

New name but same goal

Welcome to my new and improved blog! Last year I created Climb Mt. Readmore for a little reading challenge I made for myself. While I did finish my goal of 50 books, I did not keep up with my blogging and reviews. I ended up getting a new job last year and it took me away from my blog, but now I have finally found balance….and most importantly I have read a ton of books that needs reviewing!

So if you are new to my blog thanks for coming! If you are one of my previous readers….welcome back! I’m excited to get back to blogging and reviewing books. There will some changes from my old format. We are going from Stars to Hoots because…ya know….owls. Also I will now have a dedicated Instagram and Facebook page that will focus specifically on what I am reading, sneak peaks, and so much more.Β  I figured, if I was going to do this I should probably try to do it the right way πŸ™‚
